Edit form

Overview

The Next Design document form allows you to describe your model details in documents and tables, much like traditional design documents. In this document, this document form is simply called Form.

In the following, the editing operations on the form are explained in the following order.

  • Edit text
  • Edit grids and lists
  • Edit rich text

Edit text

To edit text in an editor, not limited to a form, do the following:

Operating procedure

  1. To start editing text, do one of the following:

    • Double click the edit item
    • Select edit item and press F2 key
    • Key input starts from the state where the edit item is selected
  2. To start a new line in the middle of the text, enter the Shift+Enter key.

  • Items that can be edited on the form and the form of each item (text/list/grid etc.) are defined in the profile.

Edit grids and lists

To edit a grid or list on a form, do the following:

Operating procedure

  1. When editing an existing item in a grid or list, start editing with the same operation as for text.
  2. To add a grid row or list item, do one of the following:

    • Click the [+] icon link that appears when you move the pointer over an item
    • With the item selected, press the Enter key
  3. To change the order of grid rows or list items, do one of the following:

    • Select items and drag and drop
    • Select an item and press the Alt+Up, Down key
  4. To delete a grid row or list item, do one of the following:

    • Right-click the item and execute the Delete command from the context menu
    • Select the item and press Del key

Edit rich text

For rich text fields, you can also set styles such as text color, merge figures and tables, and embed hyperlinks.

To edit a rich text field, do the following:

Operating procedure

  1. Do one of the following to start editing.

    • Double click the edit item
    • Select edit item and press F2 key
  2. Use the following keys to insert line breaks and column breaks when entering text.

    • Shift+Enter key: Breaks in the middle of a line.
    • Alt+Enter key: separate paragraphs and start a new paragraph.
  3. Formatting, insertion of tables, images, etc. are done by various commands displayed on the [Richtext] tab of the ribbon.

  4. Press Enter key to finish editing and confirm the contents.

Tip

  • You can also insert an image from the clipboard with the Ctrl+V key.
